What's New in Jobyo

Each Jobyo release (web and mobile) and what it changes for you, newest first.

web-v1.2.0+52 β€” 2026-10-13

Added

  • Customer payments now have an Attachments section, so you can keep the remittance, cheque scan or bank confirmation with the payment.
  • Costs not linked to a project: a new company-wide screen (opened from the project Cost tab) lists recorded costs that are not yet attributed to any project, for people allowed to view actual costs.
  • The project Cost tab shows an Unallocated row for project costs that are not yet assigned to a phase or task.
  • My feedback shows each request's number and the replies from Jobyo support, with an unread dot on new replies. The support-reply notification opens it directly.
  • Admins can require purchase order lines to be picked from the item catalog (new switch in the company's Procurement settings; off by default). When it is on, the purchase order form marks the item as required.

Improved

  • The project Cost tab compares against the live plan when no baseline has been published, flags labour that has no rate (with a shortcut to set one, for admins), and shows how much of the labour variance comes from rate differences.
  • Archiving an item is now blocked only by open purchase orders, stock on hand or active reservations β€” and the message says which one applies.
  • Large projects load more smoothly: the app spaces out its requests so the screen you are looking at loads first, and team availability on the Plan tab loads in one step.
  • Team review (attendance): opens with a single load, remembers your Day/Week choice, offers search and export on medium-width windows, and empty week cells are easier to tap on touch screens.

Fixed

  • Saving a purchase order twice (for example a double-click) no longer creates a duplicate.
  • Project Attachments with many files no longer get stuck loading the same page.
  • Team review: long labels no longer overflow, and "Approve all" covers the whole worker-day even when a filter or search is active.
  • The mailbox-import upgrade message now names the correct plan (Team and up).

web-v1.2.0+51 β€” 2026-10-12

Improved

  • The project Cost tab opens much faster on large projects: it no longer loads the whole task list just to name its rows. Adding a task or sub-task from the Plan tab refreshes only the affected group.

Fixed

  • Team review (attendance): the Day/Week switch and the week grid now also appear when the browser window is medium-width (for example with the side menu open), and the review sheet's buttons close it reliably.
  • Company settings: the Procurement card is now shown to every company, not only some.
  • Site plan: checks for rooms and equipment crossing an area's edge are more accurate, and report the true overshoot depth.

web-v1.2.0+50 β€” 2026-10-12

Added

  • Site plan on projects. See a building's floors, rooms and equipment at a glance, import a floor drawing (DXF), review the rooms and equipment found in it and turn them into real locations, draw rooms and areas by hand, split an area along a line, fit an area to its floor, and set each building's north direction.
  • A location that still has sub-locations can no longer be archived by mistake β€” Jobyo explains why and what to do first.

Improved

  • Large projects open much faster. The Plan tab shows phase and location headers first and loads a group's tasks when you expand it; locations appear as a building β†’ floor β†’ room tree.
  • The Gantt chart scrolls, zooms and drags smoothly on large plans, and switching between phase and location views is near-instant.
  • Project Overview opens faster on large projects: task status, progress and earned value load in one step. Projects with more than 2,000 tasks now show complete counts and earned value on the Overview, with no "showing only part of the plan" notice.
  • Admins who use Microsoft sign-in can open Trusted Microsoft tenants from the admin sidebar on every admin page.

Fixed

  • Stock details now always show the item's name, SKU, category and description.

web-v1.2.0+48 β€” 2026-10-10

Improved

  • The project Plan tab and Gantt chart are much faster on large projects.

Fixed

  • When you drag a task on the Gantt chart, it now stays in its row until you drop it.

web-v1.2.0+47 β€” 2026-10-10

Improved

  • Very large projects (more than 2,000 tasks) now show a notice on the Plan tab explaining that only the first 2,000 tasks are displayed, instead of silently leaving the rest out.
  • On big plans, phases start collapsed so the plan opens faster, and new Expand all / Collapse all buttons let you open or close every phase at once.
  • Dragging tasks on the Gantt chart is smoother.
  • Item names across the app load faster.

Fixed

  • The Photos tab now loads all of a project's photos, page by page, instead of stopping at 500. A photo you delete no longer reappears while more photos are loading.

web-v1.2.0+46 β€” 2026-10-10

Fixed

  • Large projects now open faster and more reliably: the Plan, Photos and Cost tabs look up location names in one go instead of one at a time, which could overload the page.
  • The Plan tab now shows up to 2,000 tasks for a project, so very large projects no longer appear to be missing tasks.

web-v1.2.0+45 β€” 2026-10-10

Added

  • Worksites now have a Files tab. You can upload files to a worksite, see who added each file and when, and download them. Uploading requires permission to add attachments.
  • CSV files can now be uploaded as attachments.
  • The Files tab shows the worksite's ID and each file's ID with a copy button, so you can point the Jobyo connector for Claude at a specific file (for example, a list of locations or equipment to import into the worksite).

web-v1.2.0+44 β€” 2026-10-10

Fixed

  • Searching with accented characters (for example Γ© or Γ ) in search-as-you-type fields no longer fails with an error.
  • The Publish baseline action on a project is now shown only to people who are allowed to approve projects, so it no longer appears for users who could not complete it.

web-v1.2.0+43 β€” 2026-10-10

Fixed

  • Team members invited to sign in with their Microsoft account are no longer asked to verify their email address before they can start using Jobyo.
  • Fixed a rare error screen that could appear right after accepting an invitation.

web-v1.2.0+42 β€” 2026-10-10

Fixed

  • The consent screen for AI assistant data access now states accurately how amounts are handled: purchase-order, invoice and payment amounts are shared only with team members who are allowed to see costs and financials, and card or bank details are never shared. Available in English, French and Spanish.

web-v1.2.0+41 β€” 2026-10-10

Improved

  • The consent screen for AI assistant data access (Settings β†’ Integrations) now describes the updated data-sharing terms: in addition to what was shared before, the assistant can read time records and hours worked, materials used, activity-feed notes, attachment details and reduced-size work-order photos, team members' job titles, and your team directory (names, roles, job titles and teams). Turning the setting on records your agreement to this updated version. Available in English, French and Spanish.

web-v1.2.0+40 β€” 2026-10-05

Added

  • Company settings β†’ Procurement has a new option, "Require a worksite on purchase orders". When it is turned on, a purchase order that is not linked to a project must have a ship-to worksite before it can be created.

Improved

  • Purchase orders created from a job's planned materials now carry the job's worksite and address. When the selected materials go to more than one worksite, a separate purchase order is created for each supplier and worksite, and you are told how many were created.
  • Refreshed onboarding layout: Back sits beside Continue on desktop, the buttons share the width evenly on small screens, and scrolling works anywhere on the page.
  • The save bar on the Company info screen now matches the rest of the settings pages.

web-v1.2.0+39 β€” 2026-10-05

Improved

  • Return purchase orders are now clearly marked: their PDF and Excel exports are titled "Return Purchase Order", and they show a "Return" badge in the purchase order list and in a project's purchase orders.
  • The purchase order list has a new Order type filter to show all orders, standard orders only, or return orders only.

web-v1.2.0+38 β€” 2026-10-04

Added

  • Action History for administrators: a new page in the admin area lists recorded actions in your workspace, with filters by outcome, paging, and a detail view for each entry showing who did what and when.

web-v1.2.0+37 β€” 2026-10-02

Fixed

  • Deleting an attachment now works: the confirmation closes and the attachment is removed, and the form you were on stays open. Previously, confirming the deletion could close the work order (or other record) instead and leave the attachment in place.

web-v1.2.0+36 β€” 2026-10-02

Improved

  • Purchase orders: the header now lets you pick the related work order and a ship-to worksite, and each line shows the number of the work order it belongs to.
  • Deposit balances now show the item name and a "Deposit item" badge instead of a bare SKU code.
  • Purchase invoice errors are now shown as clear, translated messages.

Fixed

  • Fixed tax amounts on supplier credit notes and returns being entered or shown with the wrong sign.
  • Credit notes now follow one consistent rule for linking the original invoice whether they are created by hand, edited, or verified from a scanned document.

web-v1.2.0+35 β€” 2026-09-22

Added

  • Quotations can now include optional line items. Mark any line as optional so the customer can accept or decline it, with a clear "Optional Items" section that is shown for information and left out of the quote total. When optional items are declined, the total updates to reflect only what was selected.

Improved

  • Optional items on a quote can be reviewed and selected in one place, and the running "Selected total" updates as choices change.

web-v1.2.0+34 β€” 2026-09-20

Fixed

  • Fixed an error that prevented turning on "Allow AI assistant data access" under Settings β†’ Integrations. Enabling external AI-assistant access now works again.

web-v1.2.0+33 β€” 2026-09-19

Fixed

  • Fixed a rare error that could briefly appear when opening or refreshing the app in a web browser.
  • Text in the Work Order and Worksite detail screens can now be selected and copied.

web-v1.2.0+32 β€” 2026-09-18

Improved

  • You can now select and copy text anywhere in the app β€” drag to highlight on desktop and web, or long-press on touch. This makes it easy to copy read-only values such as purchase order fields, totals, and reference numbers without retyping them. Text you type into fields is unaffected.

web-v1.2.0+31 β€” 2026-09-17

Added

  • When you complete a task created from an estimating template, Jobyo now asks you to confirm or adjust its output measure (for example, the area or quantity produced). The value is pre-filled from the template; you can accept it or correct it before the task closes. This is optional β€” you can skip it and the task still closes β€” and the confirmed measures help your future estimates get more accurate over time.

Improved

  • The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links (at sign-up, sign-in, and in the app) now open the current published pages on jobyo.io, so you always see the latest legal text in one place.

web-v1.2.0+30 β€” 2026-09-14

Improved

  • Turning on AI assistant data export now walks you through a clear consent step: before it is enabled, you review and accept a disclosure explaining exactly what data an authorized external AI assistant can read on your behalf (and what is never shared β€” customer/supplier contacts, purchase-order amounts, and payment details), and the person who accepted is recorded.
  • The consent step now asks which Claude plan your team will use (Team/Enterprise, or a personal plan). If a personal plan is selected, you get an in-context note about how that data may be handled, with Team or Enterprise recommended.
  • If data export was already on without a recorded plan, you are now prompted to confirm the plan the next time you save the settings, so the record stays complete.

Fixed

  • The "view disclosure" link in the AI data-export consent screen now opens the published data-sharing disclosure page.

web-v1.2.0+29 β€” 2026-09-13

Added

  • Company settings now includes an "Integrations" section with a data-export consent control. Admins can turn on consent for connecting the company to an external AI assistant β€” the switch that governs whether an authorized connector may read your company's data on your behalf.

Improved

  • The in-app AI assistant has a refreshed look: a cleaner message composer with a single row of controls (tools, new session, send), and the ability to enlarge the assistant for a bigger reading area.
  • Starting a new assistant session now asks for a quick confirmation, so an open conversation is never cleared by accident.
  • Your recent assistant conversations are remembered on your device and are offered back when you return, so you can pick up where you left off; each can be reopened or removed from the list.
  • Assistant replies are now selectable, so you can copy text out of a response.

web-v1.2.0+28 β€” 2026-09-12

Added

  • Procurement analytics (available on eligible plans): a new set of purchasing insights β€” a spend overview, supplier price trends over time, side-by-side supplier comparison for an item, and a "negotiation targets" list that highlights where the biggest savings or the steepest price increases are. Price trends can be filtered by catalogue items, one-off purchases, or all purchases, and narrowed to a specific supplier or item.
  • Item details now show the item's last purchase reference and quick links into the procurement insights above.
  • Purchase orders can now be used as return/credit documents: a credit or return note can link a return purchase order as its source document.

Improved

  • Purchase invoices: unreceived invoice lines now offer a clear choice to either distribute the cost to projects or record the goods as received, directly from the line. Users who can only receive goods keep a receive checkbox on those lines.
  • Purchase invoices: the list can now be filtered by goods-receipt status β€” not received, partially received, or fully received.

Fixed

  • Purchase invoices: cost distribution now derives correctly for credit/return invoices where amounts are negative, and credit amounts read from a scanned document are normalised to the correct magnitude.

web-v1.2.0+27 β€” 2026-09-10

Added

  • Purchase invoices: you can now distribute an invoice's cost to your projects before the goods arrive. Invoices in this state are labelled "Distributed β€” awaiting receipt" (or "Partially received" once some goods are in), and a "Not ready to pay β€” goods not received" badge keeps the payment status honest until delivery is recorded. Receiving the goods remains the recommended next step, and the invoice tells you so.
  • Sale invoices: a settled invoice now shows its payment history β€” every customer payment applied to it, each linked to the payment's detail screen. If a payment is later refunded and the invoice reopens, a banner on the invoice explains what happened.

Improved

  • Goods receipts: when a receipt is created from a purchase invoice, lines that need attention are now flagged before you approve β€” a possible mismatch with the linked purchase order, or a stock-vs-direct routing choice still to be made.

web-v1.2.0+26 β€” 2026-09-05

Added

  • Customer payments: you can now issue a full refund directly from a collected payment's detail screen. A refund badge shows on refunded payments, and the refund action is available to users whose role permits it.
  • Sale invoices: when an invoice is linked to a work order, you can open that work order in one click from the invoice detail and edit screens.

Improved

  • Purchase orders: choosing how a line is received β€” into stock or delivered direct β€” now drives the warehouse field automatically. "Direct" hides and clears the warehouse; "Stock" shows the warehouse picker, defaulting to your usual warehouse when left blank. When you record a receipt from a purchase order, each row's destination is pre-filled from that line's routing choice.
  • People's names now appear in place of internal identifiers across attendance, project forms, item and stock-movement details, the photo uploader, and warehouse screens β€” you'll see "Unknown" rather than a raw ID when a name can't be resolved.
  • Document PDFs: invoice notes now print at the top of page 1, matching the purchase-order layout, and long documents paginate more cleanly.

Fixed

  • Document PDFs: the footer no longer reserves an empty box when the notes or terms contain only spaces.
  • Roles & permissions: the role-creation screen no longer overflows or crashes on narrow windows.

web-v1.2.0+25 β€” 2026-09-05

Added

  • Teams: members can now be added or removed directly on the team edit form β€” no need to leave editing to manage the roster. Membership changes take effect immediately as you make them.

Fixed

  • Teams: opening a team for editing now always loads the latest details and member list from the server, so saving no longer risks overwriting a colleague's more recent changes with stale on-screen information.
  • Roles & permissions: the preview shown when duplicating a role now reflects the role exactly as it is on the server, and its permissions summary counts every granted area β€” including behind-the-scenes access such as reference lists β€” where it previously could show too few.

web-v1.2.0+24 β€” 2026-09-04

Added

  • Company settings: you can now record your RBQ contractor licence number and choose to display it on your documents. When enabled, it appears in the header of your purchase-order PDFs.

Improved

  • Purchase-order PDFs: long orders now paginate cleanly β€” pages fill properly, wide amounts no longer get squeezed, and notes and terms print once at the end of the document instead of repeating.
  • Purchase orders: amounts on the view and edit screens (including the card view) are now shown with thousands separators and two decimals β€” for example 1,020,000.00 instead of 1020000.

web-v1.2.0+23 β€” 2026-09-04

Fixed

  • Roles & permissions: duplicating a role now makes an exact copy β€” previously a copied role could silently lose some behind-the-scenes permissions (for example, a copied technician role could no longer link a work order to a project).
  • Team-based visibility: users whose role limits them to their own team now reliably see their team's work orders and schedules β€” team membership is read from each user's profile, so it always stays current.

web-v1.2.0+22 β€” 2026-09-03

Fixed

  • Get paid online: the payment setup screen could show an error after returning from Stripe. It now picks up where you left off.
  • Get paid online: the Refresh button on the payment setup screen now updates your payment status immediately.

web-v1.2.0+21 β€” 2026-09-02

Added

  • Get paid online: connect your business to Stripe from Settings and start accepting card payments. Send customers a secure payment link for any invoice, track each link's history, and see the invoice marked paid automatically once the payment settles.
  • Customers can pay their invoices directly from the customer portal with a "Pay this invoice" button.
  • Customer portal sign-in emails now come from Jobyo (no-reply@jobyo.io) and greet the customer by name.
  • Inventory: transfer stock between warehouses, with the movement recorded in the stock ledger.
  • Work orders: prepare a "customer copy" β€” you choose which work details and photos the customer sees in their portal before sending it.
  • Customers: WhatsApp is now available as a preferred communication channel, and portal settings have their own section on the customer form.

Improved

  • Attendance: the approvals area is now a team review workspace open to every role β€” team members see their own records, approvers keep the approval controls. Missing check-outs and gaps between shifts are flagged in the review queue and week grid.
  • Forms on phones: the keyboard's Next/Done buttons now move through fields in order across work order, purchase, sales, and field-operations forms, and quick-create sheets focus their first field automatically.
  • Purchase orders: line rows reflow cleanly on narrow phone screens.

Fixed

  • Customer list: long customer types no longer overflow the Type column.

android-v1.2.0+19-p1 β€” 2026-08-29

Automatic update for the Android app (applies on next app launch β€” no Play Store update needed).

Fixed

  • Several forms (purchase order revise/duplicate, equipment catalog) no longer have their Save bar covered by the bottom navigation, and the deposit-balances and invoice-intake lists no longer hide their last rows behind it.

Improved

  • Purchase orders: the list and cards now show the project name (previously the project number).

web-v1.2.0+20 β€” 2026-08-29

Improved

  • Purchase orders: the list and mobile cards now show the project name (previously the project number) β€” in the table, the export, and the card view.
  • Reliability: the app now automatically retries brief network interruptions instead of failing immediately, so short connection hiccups are less disruptive.

Fixed

  • Mobile: several forms (purchase order revise/duplicate, equipment catalog) no longer have their Save bar covered by the bottom navigation, and the deposit-balances and invoice-intake lists no longer hide their last rows behind it.

web-v1.2.0+19 β€” 2026-08-28

No user-visible web changes β€” internal release-pipeline updates and mobile-release alignment only (the version caption advances to 1.2.0+19).

ios-v1.2.0+19 β€” 2026-08-28

Added

  • New Jobyo app release for iPhone and iPad. Once installed, critical bug fixes can now reach your device automatically when you reopen the app β€” no need to wait for an App Store update.

Improved

  • Brings the mobile app up to date with recent improvements, including the sign-up reliability fix.

android-v1.2.0+19 β€” 2026-08-28

Added

  • New Jobyo app release for Android. Once installed, critical bug fixes can now reach your device automatically when you reopen the app β€” no need to wait for a Play Store update.

Improved

  • Brings the mobile app up to date with recent improvements, including the sign-up reliability fix.

web-v1.2.0+18 β€” 2026-08-26

Fixed

  • Sign-up reliability: fixed a rare issue where quickly pressing sign up more than once (for example a double-tap, or pressing Enter and the button together) could create more than one account for the same email address. Only a single account is now created.

web-v1.2.0+17 β€” 2026-08-22

Added

  • Active sessions: My Account now has an "Active sessions" section listing the devices currently signed in to your account, with the browser and operating system shown for each, so you can see where you're logged in.
  • Send product feedback: a new "Help & support" entry in the menu opens a panel where you can send feedback or report an issue, choose the type, and review the feedback you've submitted.
  • App version caption: the current app version now appears at the bottom of the menu and on the sign-in screen, making it easy to confirm which build you're running.

Improved

  • Sortable lists: sales invoices and the customer, supplier, item, and worksite directories can now be sorted by column, and the sort applies across the whole list rather than just the page you're viewing.
  • Purchase orders: the purchase-order list gains a sort control and two new columns β€” Project and Approved by.

web-v1.2.0+16 β€” 2026-08-21

Added

  • Purchase invoices: refundable deposits (such as container or cylinder deposits) can now be explicitly counted as a project cost when you choose to β€” a new "count as cost" option on the deposit line, with a clear confirmation of what it changes.
  • Purchase invoices and goods receipts: new shortcuts to jump straight to the related purchase order from the places you work with it.

Improved

  • Deposits outstanding: the deposit-balances screen now shows supplier names and the full charge/refund history per deposit, with links to the source documents.
  • Purchase orders: linking an invoice or a receipt to a purchase order now carries that link across automatically β€” link it once on either document and the matching lines map everywhere.
  • Goods receipts: receipts now show a clear document-type header, and deposit lines are visibly marked as not received as goods.

Fixed

  • Purchase invoices: percentage-based cost distribution on invoices that include refundable deposits now uses the correct base amount (net of taxes and deposits), so distributed amounts add up to the distributable total.
  • Purchase invoices: deposit lines no longer appear in cost distribution, receiving, or purchase-order line-mapping screens where they don't belong.

web-v1.2.0+15 β€” 2026-08-20

Fixed

  • Purchase invoices: buttons in confirmation dialogs (such as "Unlink PO") no longer fail to respond when a document preview is open. The previewed document now stays visible while a dialog is shown, instead of being temporarily hidden.

web-v1.2.0+14 β€” 2026-08-19

Maintenance release: internal stability and translation updates. No user-visible behavior changes intended (in-progress features remain behind their rollout gates).

web-v1.2.0+13 β€” 2026-08-19

First release shipped through Jobyo's new automated release pipeline (versioned, tagged, and verified deploys). No intended user-facing behavior changes in this version β€” subsequent releases will list what's new for users here.
